Two versions of a site on the same page

Google recognizes that a site might have two versions on the same page (web version and printer friendly version), and this duplicate content is actually meant to make for a better user-experience, and not trick the search engines. Google has guidelines that regulate the use of keywords and regularly updates its algorithms to regulate the industry. Google and Bing have moved far beyond algorithms that positively reward a keyword appearing multiple times in the URL string. Don’t hurt your chances of earning a click (which CAN impact your rankings) by overdoing keyword matching/repetition in your URLs. Google has access to all this incredible data about where people go on the Internet through Chrome and through Android.

Avoidance of unnecessary subdomains

Using structured data, you can serve Google your address details in the most convenient way. While you should not hide your heading tag in an image, you should still give search engines more opportunities to link to your website by adding keywords in the image alt text and file name. With for instance the rise of voice search, longer keyphrases become more and more common. Using a long keyphrase five times in your 300-word-article will look so unnatural, that it’s not a good practice at all, where using a certain keyword five times might fit there. The purchase cycle can sometimes involve a large number of clicks.

Create great content people want to read

If over time your site has acquired an average of 5 links per day, and then the links suddenly start to come in at a rate of 10 per day, that could be seen as a positive ranking signal. On the other hand, if the rate of new link A website redesign presents the perfect opportunity for you to analyze your backlinks and remove the shady ones. If you use Google Webmaster Tools, you’ll see a “manual penalty” appear if Google detects one of these low-quality links. You’ll then have the option to make such links “no follows” so Google stops paying attention to them. The quality of the content is vastly important to SEO. How well-written is it? Is it riddled with spelling and grammatical errors or is it error-free? Always remember to find natural local keywords. Simply stuffing in unnecessary mentions of the residing town may actually do your SEO more harm than good.

Think about SEO from the start

Every “vote” or link to your site helps determine the value of your site. However, it’s not just the sheer number of links your website gets. Too many links, and it seems like your content relies too heavily on outside content; too few links, and some readers may question where you’re getting your information. Marketers rely on search engine optimization (SEO) to improve search rankings, website traffic and lead generation. Gaz Hall, an SEO Expert from the UK, said: “If your site is new and is in a competitive niche with high DR scores, then your initial plan should be to build links directly to pages you want to rank.”

Build a mobile-friendly site

Higher rankings in the first few results are critical to visibility. Mobile is becoming more popular every year. Keyword Research and Implementation is important for making any piece of copy shine, especially in the eyes of search engines. If you can’t budget for 6 to 12 months of SEO, you might be better off putting that budget somewhere else.
