Age of the domain name: is it important for SEO?

Unsurprisingly, larger companies tend to outspend smaller firms when it comes to SEO. Get reputable websites to link to you. You can achieve this by gaining a good following and reputation among your customers. Apart from knowing which search terms people use, you need to know whether or not your idea for your post or page fits the desires and expectations of the people who use the search terms. The best way to find out whether or not your content fits these desires is to Google your proposed (sets of) keywords yourself. The Internet, or World Wide Web as it was once known, really is a kind of web. Websites feature links that lead to other websites, featuring yet more links leading to still more websites, and so on. Becoming a memorable part of that web will take lots of work and involve creating many links to other parts of the web, just like other websites do.

Age of the domain name

Once visitors are on your site, an important goal is to keep them on your site. You don’t want your visitors immediately bouncing back to Google once they have read something on your site. SEO doesn’t have to be hard or require an expert team to get results. If you’ve got a process and a structure, you can rank your content in search engines quite quickly. For those who can’t find any good place to apply a keyword or phrase, using them in the links built to other websites will help them to stand out for readers. More and more we are seeing the use of keyword clustering from sites that are making it beyond the scope of mediocre search results and traffic margins.

Google loves fast sites, and so do your customers

Duplicate content is your website’s worst enemy. Google is very serious about penalizing websites with duplicate content, descriptions or titles. SEO marketing can be a very powerful tool for generating massive passive traffic. But if you use it incorrectly, you’ll end up doing more harm than benefit. Every “vote” or link to your site helps determine the value of your site. However, it’s not just the sheer number of links your website gets. Rankings matter. But they’re not the metric you should be focusing on.

Do not hesitate to expand your niche area

The structure of your URLs can also help search engines to better understand your website content. If you can alter the URL so that, for example, it includes the name of your website, you should make use of this. Spam links often go both ways. A website that links to spam is likely spam itself, and in turn often has many spam sites linking back to it. It doesn’t matter how many searches a keyword has in a month if it doesn’t accurately reflect the content on your page! Better content title and descriptions

Long-tail keyword phrases are among the building blocks of an SEO strategy. They are used to optimize copywriting, metadata and link-building strategies. Google now supports using the rel=“canonical” link element across different domains. This means that you can have similar content on both the .com and extensions of your site, and use the canonical link element to indicate the exact URL of the domain preferred for indexing. This will make duplicate content a non-issue. Also, keep in mind that this is not required when using different languages. Google does not consider foreign-language translations to be duplicate content. But it is something to consider for multiple locale sites in the same language. Content marketing can be very effective in increasing traffic, generating leads, enabling sales – and contributing to SEO. Google is pretty good at understanding the general context of a site’s content.
